BBL LASER TREATMENTS

About Our BBL Laser Treatments

BroadBand Light (BBL) laser therapy is an advanced, non-invasive treatment designed to improve the overall tone, texture, and clarity of your skin. Using targeted light energy, BBL gently treats the deeper layers of the skin to address common concerns such as sun damage, dark spots, redness, acne, and signs of aging—without damaging the surface of the skin.

BBL works by delivering precise pulses of light that are absorbed by pigment and blood vessels in the skin. This process helps break up discoloration, reduce redness, stimulate collagen production, and encourage natural skin renewal. Over time, patients notice brighter, clearer, and more youthful-looking skin with minimal downtime.

Our BBL treatments are fully customized based on your skin type and goals. Whether you’re looking to correct sun damage, even out skin tone, calm redness, or maintain healthy skin long-term, BBL is a safe and effective option for many skin concerns.

What to Expect During BBL Treatment

Before your BBL treatment, a consultation is performed to review your skin concerns, goals, and medical history. Your provider will customize the treatment settings based on your skin type and areas being treated.

During the procedure, protective eyewear is worn and a cooling gel may be applied to the skin. The BBL device delivers quick pulses of light to the treatment area, often described as a warm snapping sensation. Most patients find the treatment very tolerable, and sessions typically last 15–45 minutes depending on the area.

After treatment, you may experience mild redness, warmth, or a sunburn-like sensation that usually resolves within a few hours to a few days. Pigmented spots may temporarily darken before gradually flaking off, revealing clearer, more even-toned skin beneath.

There is little to no downtime, and most patients return to normal activities the same day. Results improve gradually over the following weeks, with optimal outcomes typically achieved through a series of treatment

Downtime & Aftercare

BBL treatments require little to no downtime, making them easy to fit into a busy schedule. Most patients experience mild redness, warmth, or swelling similar to a light sunburn immediately after treatment. These effects typically resolve within a few hours to a few days.

Pigmented spots may temporarily darken and feel slightly rough before naturally flaking off within 5–10 days. This is a normal part of the skin’s healing process and should not be picked or scrubbed.

After treatment, it is important to:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks
  • Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen daily
  • Keep the skin clean, moisturized, and well-hydrated
  • Avoid heat, strenuous exercise, and hot showers for 24–48 hours
  • Refrain from exfoliants, retinoids, or harsh skincare until cleared by your provider

With proper aftercare, patients can expect gradual improvement in skin tone, clarity, and overall radiance. Results continue to develop over the weeks following treatment.

Who Is a Good Candidate for BBL?

BBL laser therapy is ideal for individuals looking to improve the tone, clarity, and overall appearance of their skin without surgery or significant downtime. You may be a good candidate if you are experiencing:

  • Sun damage, age spots, or uneven pigmentation
  • Redness, rosacea, or visible blood vessels
  • Acne or acne-related inflammation
  • Dull skin or uneven texture
  • Early signs of aging, such as fine lines

BBL is commonly safe and effective for many skin types; however, candidacy depends on factors such as skin tone, medical history, current medications, and recent sun exposure. A consultation is required to determine if BBL is appropriate for you and to create a customized treatment plan.

Individuals who are pregnant, have active skin infections, certain medical conditions, or have recently tanned may need to postpone treatment or explore alternative options.
